Kristina Grotzinger

PhD, Senior Research Scientist

Kristina is a 20-year veteran of phytochemistry and analytical chemistry in regulated laboratory environments. She began her career at the University of Leipzig in Germany as a research associate and was subsequently appointed to the Faculty of Pharmacy/Department of Pharmaceutical Biology.

Highly involved in researching, lecturing and teachings on the subjects of pharmaceutical biology, Kristina’s early work involved investigations in bioassay-guided isolation, structure elucidation and quantification of plant secondary compounds.

Kristina received her PhD in Science at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology, University of Leipzig, Germany. She previously received her BSc in Biochemistry at the Martin-Luther- University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Kristina recently received her Canadian PhD Chemist accreditation from the University of Toronto.
